Dj earned a great deal of criticism early last year for some meathead decisions about who played, who didn’t, how much. To his credit, he made changes and things went well as a result. That’s not too common for many coaches, pride and so on. That impressed me that he was able to change and admit (through actions if not words) that early decisions weren’t the best ones. Being able to adapt and move in a different direction is something that many previous coaches here really struggled with. But that is so important for a young, improving team.
Beyond that, the team culture seems great from the outside looking in, and clearly the team plays hard for him, he seems very well liked by players. Glad to see this signing, DJ doing a good job with it.
