Buffalo Bills Divisonal: (3) Baltimore at (2) Buffalo; TBD

We definitely going to be a primetime slot.

The defense playing great was my biggest encouragement. Other than the literal 1 bad play and the prevent defense after going up 28-7, that was their best outing of the season. They stifled the run and made decisions hard for Bo Nix.

Next week is going to be MUCH tougher.

Yeah. Whichever day we play (my guess is Sunday), we're getting the later spot. And I think there's a big fighting match between NBC, ESPN and CBS as to who gets the game.

I'm guessing NBC gets it Sunday night. CBS gets KC/LAC as the early Saturday game. Fox and ESPN split the NFC side.....ESPN gets late Saturday and Fox gets early Sunday.

I think it's gonna be the Saturday night game. They have teams that are still playing who would be the other primetime matchup. Feel like we're getting the same slot as we did in the 2020 season against Baltimore.

Saturday:
-HOU @ KC
-BAL @ BUF

Sunday -
-TB @ PHI
-MIN @ DET

The only game the NFL isn't gonna get amazing ratings for is the KC-HOU game since that is likely to be a blowout.

Minnesota winning later would make for a huge rematch against Detroit and would be the likely other night game.

I think the Bills could have won the first Baltimore game if they didn’t do the trick play. Momentum turned and they were moving the ball and coming back in the second half. Trick play changed that entire game.

Even if no one wanted as a kid, we want Ray Davis now:

Agree. And without having half? our D and now ...the ten games experience the whole team has in bigger games

That requires TB to beat WSH, which isn't a sure thing at all. I won't argue that MIN/DET is a sexy matchup........but WSH/DET and MIN/LAR at PHI aren't needle movers at all.

They've never done AFC one day and NFC the other day for the divisional round. Doesn't mean they couldn't do it, just probably not the most likely scenario. The only thing I think will be set in stone is MNF winner plays Sunday, and because its a 4v5 matchup, they'll know who the winner will play after the end of SNF tonight.

Remember, Sunday games are not 1/4:30, it's 3/6:40, so that late Sunday game is essentially a primetime game.

I expected to be uncomfortable for a bit and I was. Still, the better team will show and they certainly did. Not much of a contest when you look into it.

Not super optimistic about next week

I'm genuinely surprised that Baltimore isn't the favorite right now. I won't be surprised at all if Baltimore is the favorite at kickoff.
The conventional school of thought one always heard is home field is +3 for the home team. I’m seeing is -1 so that is basically saying we are only ahead cause of home field in terms of betting lines.

I think the Ravens will be favored by the time of kickoff. Go Bills!
Me too. However I couldn’t give a flying fig about the betting lines and who they favor. They are purely designed to draw bets to one side or another while making the house as much money as possible as all betting games of any variety are designed to do.

The coaching staff had the players playing confident, and the group just stayed on schedule. Payton was coaching desperate. It didn't cost the Broncos, because they played a very clean game but that's just how I felt watching the game.

Special teams... McDermott has to do better than Smiley in the offseason. The guys on WGR were talking fake punts, and onside kicks this week. Why did the Bills get caught? The group looked very good all things considered, but the miscues have to stop. The group has to start contributing to take some of the weight off the offense and defense.

Mack... please do better. We can't have penalties like that going forward.

Samuel... I feel like there's more here. That this is what Allen was alluding to late in the season. They didn't empty the clip during the regular season. They were saving something, and I think Samuel was that something.

Im encouraged by the defense. I’m encouraged at putting up 31 on better defense than Baltimore has

Honestly, ball control next week is going to be important. Keeping Lamar off the field and cashing in our drives. I think we will have better looks downfield next week too.
