I don't hate the "fake sneak pitch" idea, in fact I think the Bills could very effectively use it if they time it right...but that blew up in their face there, Mariota probably took a split second too long faking the sneak allowing the Lions to get to him.

I saw the final line was -9.5...the safety actually made it 9.
15 seconds left. A punt returned for a touchdown would take up most of that. Houston would need a 2-point conversion to close within 3. Then they would have had to recover an onside kick and score another touchdown in ~5 seconds to win in regulation or a field goal to tie following the 2-point conversion. Punting doesn't seem terribly risky.

And the safety just happens to get the score within the spread by 1/2 point.

I'm not saying that outcome was rigged, but taking a safety in that situation lends credence to those who would say it was.

Lions D simply has nothing left in the tank it appears, the injuries are finally too much to overcome. They're gonna need to find a way to make a couple of plays and hope the offense, possibly without Goff, can go super saiyan.

Think there will 2.5 pts in the 2nd half to hit the over in this one ?:D

Those turnovers by Goff killed Detroit of course

Three picks on Goff tonight so far. He ain’t helping things.
2 picks, the other was a fumble when they were driving. But you figure that's 6 points off the board for the Lions, and 7 points to the Commanders (I presume they would have scored on their drive following the hypothetical FG after the fumble anyways). This score should be 27-24 Lions...but turnovers.
