Injury Week 4---

Milano-IR
Benard-out
Taron-out

So in this game, a few plays change the game significantly
1 blown assignment on 85 yd td run
2 had 2 3rd and 10+ on drive they got a TD on.
3. Bills gadget play failure

Mid 3rd thus gsne cou kn d gave bern 20-17 with different results.

Stephen A said he still questions buffalo offense because they weent 1 out of 5 in red zone for TD. He failed to mention one was the clock burning possesdtion they kicked a FG after up 28-7, the kneel downs were inside the redzone, and another FG was when there had been a def holding Josh is livid about that became a FG

Stopping the King goes without saying but I'm nervous about Andrews/Likely as well. I'm not too concerned about Flowers/Bateman against our corners. It's that TE duo we need to be wary of. I hope they have a stellar gameplan on D.

Eh, IDK. I think OP for this thread is right that it's a rebuilding year. Next year is likely our best chance. Baltimore looks unstoppable and Lamar looked fantastic in a cold-weather playoff game tonight. I think we win tomorrow but I will not be mad if we lose to Baltimore. Next year we'll have the Von contract off the books, the progression of Shakir and Kincaid, and Cook in a contract year.
I understand your sentiment but I reject that thinking 100%.
Currently, right now, Bills are 2 wins shy of the Super Bowl and 3 wins shy of winning it.
They are healthy, motivated, cohesive.
It will be 52 weeks before an equivalent opportunity might arise. And all kinds of roadblocks in the way.
52 weeks of off-season injuries and in-season injuries.
A year older for Shakir and Kincaid. Maybe marginal upside - but what about the marginal downside for other aging players?
Cook in a contract year means nothing. The potential upside performance from him relative to this year is miniscule. Do you think he has another gear? do you think he's "holding back"? Do you think he/his agent won't use this year as a data point for his next contract? Doesn't make sense to me.
Play the game on the field, not on paper.
Seize the moment.
Ask the girl next to you to the dance right now, don't wait hoping you can get a better date lined up next week.

Enjoy the ride, it’s been a fun season so far. Go Bills let’s win another
Lather, rinse, repeat this post...
Im encouraged by the defense. I’m encouraged at putting up 31 on better defense than Baltimore has

Honestly, ball control next week is going to be important. Keeping Lamar off the field and cashing in our drives. I think we will have better looks downfield next week too.
True.
It's playoffs. Every team is good and the outcome typically comes down to Line play, both ways, along with turnovers and injuries/depth replacements.
Hopefully not decided by the refs.
Time of possession will be key. I don't expect the Bills to control the ball 42 minutes vs. BAL like they did vs. DEN.
OTOH, Lamar and Henry could pull a similar possession game on BUF if BUF defense can't contain Lamar and Henry.
Ravens are a tougher matchup for BUF than the Chiefs could be.
EARLY weather outlook for Sunday. COLD. We will see what Phammer has to say/add this week.

Ehh, I expect the temp at end of gametime will be about halfway in between those values. typically doesn't hit the low-low until a little before sunrise.
As long as there is no freezing rain, it's all bueno.

I'll be at the BAL @ BUF game.

They're going to have to play pretty much the perfect game. The Ravens overall are just more talented - particularly on defense now that they've gotten their early season kinks worked out. The way the defense played yesterday, and Milano seemingly rounding into form gives me some hope, as well as the game being in Buffalo, but it's still going to be a very difficult game.

Especially since Allen has struggled against Baltimore's scheme in the past. The most points the Allen-era Bills have scored against the Ravens is 23 in 4 tries. It would take a herculean defensive effort for that to be enough Sunday.

I wonder if we see some more 3LB sets against Bal. A downhill runner like Dorian should help against the run.
I think you might see them approach it like they did the Lions game where they used 3 LBs more than any other game this year, I believe.

Yeah. I know we got 13 wins and are the 2 seed. But I'm honestly not expecting them to win on Sunday, and won't be upset if they do lose. Sure I'll be a bit disappointed, but this is/was/has been a season that exceeded all of my expectations.

This take is exactly how I feel as well. For a rebuild/reset season, to go 13-4 and clinch to 2 seed with ease bodes really well for the future.

The team being this good with over $70M in dead cap is crazy.

And if neither Josh is MVP nor McD is COTY…

It's true. I think we are always going to be 'in the mix' as a contender. But we gotta break through. Even with Miller gone there's still going to be dead cap next week and Josh's contract going up.

I wasn't as freaked out when the Bills lost to KC in 2020, but then 2021 happened in the divisional round and it's been the same round ever since.
