So I’ll say it again in the correct thread, suck it PSG!

You played the team that is going to finish 5th in the Bundesliga 4 times this season and only beat them once, and lost twice when it counted most.

And the French league did you a huge favor after last season by reducing the number of teams in the league to 18 from 20 so you played 4 fewer league games. And you still couldn’t get it done.

And you are very likely going to lose your best player, arguably the best in the world, after the season as he finally decides to challenge himself in a much higher quality league overall.

Totally squandered opportunity….

It's always fun to see PSG fail but BVB was lucky.

4 posts/crossbars yesterday
forgot the number in the first game.
By the way PSG has now the record with 14 posts/crossbars in a single season (CL)

Feel dirty rooting for Spurs (as I'm sure all Arsenal fans do) but they're looking up to the task so far today.

Which is worse, the EPL's VAR or the NHL's review of goalie interference?

Big day tomorrow. Will probably turn into a snoozer when City takes a 3-0 lead in the 50th minute but a man can dream for drama.
WHU have been disappointing. Remarkably, they actually had an outside shot at European football coming down the stretch but completely shit the bed.

Today would be a good day to right the ship and end on a positive note. At least muster a tie.

And of course Arsenal need to take care of business, which I think they will.

Would feel very Arsenal if West Ham pull off the stunner only to see Everton draw level late and both games end in a draw.

Welp, MC dynasty rolls on.

Arsenal's fate seemed sealed with that inexplicable loss to Aston Villa a month ago. But you keep hoping MC will stumble. Nope.

At least I got a couple of cool jerseys out of it.

I know it's not the same exact thing, but this needs the context that Pep is still only 53 and Sir Alex coached 26 years at Man U. Pep also has 3 La Liga titles and 3 Bundesliga titles. So 12 league titles to SAF's 13.

Pep's teams have won titles in 12 of the last 16 seasons, and 12 of 15 seasons where he actually coached. Which means the rate of league wins vs SAF is almost double.

FC Barcelona (2008-2012)

  • 2008-2009: 1st in La Liga
  • 2009-2010: 1st in La Liga
  • 2010-2011: 1st in La Liga
  • 2011-2012: 2nd in La Liga

Bayern Munich (2013-2016)

  • 2013-2014: 1st in Bundesliga
  • 2014-2015: 1st in Bundesliga
  • 2015-2016: 1st in Bundesliga

Manchester City (2016-present)

  • 2016-2017: 3rd in Premier League
  • 2017-2018: 1st in Premier League
  • 2018-2019: 1st in Premier League
  • 2019-2020: 2nd in Premier League
  • 2020-2021: 1st in Premier League
  • 2021-2022: 1st in Premier League
  • 2022-2023: 1st in Premier League
  • 2023-2024: 1st in Premier League

Unreal.

Hate City but rather they win an unprecedented 4th english title with oil money than win another champions league

Seeing Real Madrid get retribution on City after last year, in the shootout, was sweet.

Also as appalling as 4 straight titles is at least they haven't won 10 straight like Bayern did before this year lol

that would seriously make me apoplectic

So if by some miracle MC started losing late in the game how would the EPL handle the trophy ceremony? Does someone shuttle the trophy from stadium to stadium while everyone waits, or do they have 2 dummy trophies just in case?

Pep sounds like next year will be his last at City. A Premier League without Klopp and Pep will be sad.

On the good news, he will leave in perfect time to take over the USMNT :naughty::nod:

Seems legit.

City rules violation verdict is likely to be coming in summer 2025 so makes sense to jump ship before that. If guilty even if they aren't facing relegation they are likely to face huge point deduction which is going to make it hard to win anything after that.

16 years old.

Nice little goal. Looks like a lucky fluke at first and maybe it's a bit fortunate the pass came through without any disruption from defenders, but that's a pretty savvy goal from a 16 year old on the big stage. Just the right touch and very intentionally low and through a small gap in the defenders instead of a panic blast into someone's legs or over the net.
