Did the Rangers change part of their Adidas Jersey?

Does anybody else remember when the jerseys were first unveiled and there was a grey collar on the away jerseys?
I remember several people on this board commenting in a thread about it and not liking the grey, and then a couple weeks ago when I was watching a game I noticed there was no grey on it. Were they ever made with the grey and then they changed it?

What's up with the gray band on the top of the collar??? Looks terrible.
