Personally, I don't think this is going to affect the players on the ice, but should the Sharks go down 3-0 in this series tonight, I do believe there will be people in the Sharks' front office that may question why Wilson exacerbated the situation by releasing that statement.
They may very well tie the Sharks' hole in the series to his actions, which probably should have just stopped after the first game.
