Knob made a big mistake putting out McDrai with 3 minutes left if he didn't mean to pull the goalie as soon as they had control in the offensive zone. They had their top guys with solid possession for a good 25-30 seconds, then their shift ended and they were never able to muster another possession even after pulling Skinner. At that point, Knoblauch had to acknowledge his team was a lot more likely to retain possession with an early pull than trying to regain the zone with less than 2 minutes left without his top unit.
