What is Dhaliwal? Where is Dhaliwal? Why is Dhaliwal?Who is Dhaliwal ?? Never heard of him
I may be in the minority on this but I think the Stars move him for mostly futures/picks. Maybe a 2nd pairing dman or middle 6 guy in the deal as well.
I don't want that but it wouldn't surprise me. Definitely don't think we will see a 1 for 1 type deal
They spent a lot on Rantanen, they'll want some of that back for future deadline deals imo
Once you factor in the cap and the RFA years of Willander this is more fair than you make it out to be. But again I'm up for a counter offer. Are you adding significantly?![]()
And what else besides MercerHe's only 25, so he'll still be an RFA next summer.
The Devils could use some more pop up front. How reasonable would a deal based around Robertson and Mercer be?
Maybe Ottawa for Tkachuk? If he becomes available.

Thats the only way I see Tkachuk being available or if Ottawa has questions about him stayingNot sure why Ottawa would do this outside Tkachuk demanding a trade.
Also the Canucks.
During his show: Donnie and Dhali, Dhaliwal dropped a juicy bomb saying he is hearing Jason Robertson's name out there as someone that has been made available via trade.
For those that dont know, Rick Dhaliwal is a media member based in Vancouver. He is highly connected especially with player agents and is known as one of if not the most reliable people with sources. He has broken the news of many signings and trades before it became reality.
Pat Brisson is Robertson's Agent...Brisson has been on Dhaliwal's show many many times.
The segment started with Dhaliwal encouraging the Canucks to trade for Mason Marchment but then drops the bomb that he is hearing Robertson is the one thats available for trade.
Robertson has 1 more year at 7.75mil AAV and then he will be getting paid next year into a possibly 10+ mil contract. He still has 1 yr left of RFA when this contract expires.
Perhaps Dallas doesnt want to commit the major major money on Robertson and they want to trade him now and get ahead of it.
They also only have around 4 mil of cap space with only 16 players under contract.
What about for 2 2nds and a 3rd?I don't believe this for one second.
Mason Marchment yes, not Jason Robertson, not for 1 second
I believe the Ritchie brothers were, if memory serves.Has an NHL trade ever had brothers traded for each other?
Correct on deadline day.I believe the Ritchie brothers were, if memory serves.
Are they really trying to shed salary? Why would a team who is in their contention window do that? I can see them trading a big contract if it means bringing in another big contract that fills a hole on the team, and Dobson makes a lot of sense in a lot of ways. Dallas' defense needs more help than just Dobson, but he would be a nice add to the mix. They're two RD away from having a much better blueline to bring forward next year, and upgrading on Petrovic via trade or free agency shouldn't be that hard. Dobson makes a ton of sense, and adding a veteran warhorse like David Savard or someone like that to mentor Bischel would give them a much improved blueline. I'm not sure about Lybushkin moving forward - are his injuries going to put him on LTIR? He's making a pretty big salary for what he is as a player, but I'd have him in the mix too if he's going to be healthy next year - probably would mean they wouldn't bring in a new partner for Bischel either. Not really, Dallas are trying to shed salary and Dobson is going to cost more then Robertson next season.
I'm not sure if the Stars would want a guy one year from FA for Robertson, even if his next payday might be huge. Andersson would certainly make the Stars better though.Rasmus. Andersson.
Is Dallas prepared to give Dobson 9.5 as opposed to the 11 or whatever Robertson will get?
