Rumor: Dhaliwal: CBJ will be very interested in Boeser, should he become available in trade. CBJ wants Boeser long term

Personally don't see the fit for CBJ other than that Boeser is a really good player who does the kinds of things - reliably so - that a team needs if it wants to be good.

But just because we don't see the fit doesn't mean Waddell doesn't. If we want the team to be better, maybe Waddell has ideas on how to make that happen.

In the end, it's probably all just media filling time/creating content.

Waddell also might have information regarding which big UFAs (if any) would be willing to sign in Columbus.

Can't give up Sillinger for a rental. Teams very high on him.
I think we've already established that if CBJ trades for Boeser, it is only if they have a deal in place, or know he is willing to sign and have the framework in place. In which case Sillinger is the asset they would most likely be willing to move out of the ones Vancouver would want.
Most likely Boeser goes to another team like the Devils, or Wild or something. But that's the most likely scenario in my head.

I mean you keep bringing that up, but it just doesn't happen at the deadline. I can't think of one example honestly.

I forget, can teams still include conditional picks on the basis of a player re-signing with the team they are traded to? I feel like that option might have been removed, but if not, I'm sure VAN would make a deal like that if they had do, but with due diligence on Boeser being 99% there on an extension with CBJ...

Dhaliwal SUCKS as an insider during the season. He’s terrible

His value is in free agency as that is where he got his start, cold calling agents until they were were forced to return his calls
-He breaks tons of signings
-Breaks down which teams were in on who

He’ll know about contract negotiations for sure
But not about which teams were interested in a trade
