This is a Toews-like steal by New Jersey, Marino just makes phenomenal reads all game long. What a player.

Obviously you want a guy to work on his weaknesses but Holtz needs to get some shots and play his usual game to get his confidence going

Couple of nice plays by Holtz in the D zone there, including some speed to get to the puck at first.

I think he may still be a year or two away from being the player we're hoping he becomes, but I'm not doubting him at all anymore. You can tell he took last year's "get faster" directive seriously, and you can tell he knows he needs to be reliable defensively to be a force in the NHL.

I can't imagine it was good for him to be playing well the first 2 games and then get taken out. He needs to actually play games if you want him to perform.
