No, because it was the sabres who last had possession of the puck so they put it back in their zone so Boyle being offside is irrelevant. Learning the rules helps.

That’s not it, imo.

Nobody had possession as the puck entered the zone. Boyle directed the puck into the zone but didn’t have control. He did drag his back skate on the ice as he tried to kick to control so therefore the puck entered the zone before his back foot entered the zone or was lifted off the ice.

I get it, but thats the rule and it was clearly a reviewable play. I saw it right away. Only reason that was onside was because the savres last had possession and they put it back in their own zome which made Boyle being offside irrelevant
