One of the most satisfying games of the season. Scoresheet aside, several guys had great games...including Casey (pre-assist) and Cotter.

Idk what more the staff needs to see. Casey should get consistent minutes down the stretch here pre playoffs. It isn't just the offensive stuff. Sure, he's undersized, but he doesn't play like it. His reach is a negative, but stick is very active in the D zone. Great positioning. Consistently opens up for teammates as well (understands angles very well) and chooses best outlet to exit zone. Had only 1 somewhat rough shift today, but was otherwise excellent even before the apple.

They do get hemmed quite a bit with Casey but when that happens they still generally don’t breakdown in bad ways

Well ackshually I predicted this summer that markstrom would have a game like this against the rangers like nobody else did

If Nico didn’t miss those six games due to injury, he may have gotten there. It’s not impossible but still going to be difficult to get to 40 goal mark. I’m rooting for him. He’s been amazing since Jack went down.

We're probably in the playoffs all but officially.

Not that I'm saying by any means we shouldn't win as many of the 5 left as we can. We honestly look like we can win all 5 or at least most of them with Markstrom hot again.

But I don't think two teams will pass us, even if we lost out and got 0 points.

And even if Montreal passes us in points, they don't actually ''Pass'' us.

Rangers and Jackets look about done. Islanders have looked done for a while. Red Wings have looked done for even longer, even if they somehow have more points right now.
