Methinks they are more interested to see what he can do on the PP vs. what he can do defensively. Larsson is expected to be the more well rounded player, Gelinas will hopefully replace the Zidlicky role. Amirite?

I hope we resign Zidlicky and Harrold, amnesty Volchenkov, trade Hank somewhere for something and give Gélinas the #6 spot, wich is now held by Anton.

That way, we can have both Zidlicky and Gélinas on the PP with Kovy playing the full deuce.

It's not "tanking" if we remove our best players from our lineup in order to give us a better shot at losing the game.

I think everyone wants us to see a solid performance from our players but if we end up with a "L", it won't be the end of the world either.

Well, that's how I see it anyways.

That's pretty much the definition of tanking... But we need to give some of these young players a game or two here and there just to get the jitters out before a real shot.

Win or lose, it's all in how they play.

Sorry... I forgot to put the word "don't" in front of remove. There's a couple of teams who are scratching their veterans in favour of AHL'ers, to me that's tanking.

We aren't doing that with our lineup.



... and it'll be justified. I'll lead the charge since I've been demanding this for the past 3 years+.

I hope Bernier being out for Kostopolous wasn't Pete's way of healthy scratching him for bad play. He's been one of our best players this year. At least my invisible one trick Poni is a healthy scratch.

That's what I was hoping for. Not hoping Bernier was injured, but that he wasn't a completely ''Healthy'' scratch.

Kostopoulos in for Bernier, really? Like ZBC said, Bernier has to have some type of injury cause Big Bear has been one of our most consistent players threw this entire year (with Carter as well).

Depending on who is on the Devils next season, it won't surprise me at all if Larsson is still 2 to 4 players away from being on the PP. He has to improve his footwork and speed up his decision making or he won't be effective on the PP.

I don't understand Jesse for Bernier.

To me that makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. I can see if they wanted to maybe play Sislo to give him a game, but why in the world do you play Kostopolous who likely won't be here next year, over a guy like Bernier who you have for another year and is more crucial to the teams success.

Other than that, I have no problems with the line-up. Glad that they didn't take Josefson or Loktionov out for Henrique. Neither one deserves to sit, Ponikarovski does however.

If he doesn't make our team next year in favour of ****ing Anton mother****ing Volchenkov, I'll ****ing riot the Pru on opening night.

Let's start shifting this ****ing label of having SAH grenade handlers as a must, on each ****ing pairing, and let's start looking towards the future with our big, strong and mobile youngsters.

I'm sick of hearing that "excuse" everytime someone mentions a certain weakness with this team.

Ok, let's get over it, we played in the cup finals last summer, fine... now let's move on from last summer and face reality, wich has us picking 10th overall (give or take).

There's no denying that we need more mobility on our backend and Sal + Volch aren't helping in that aspect of our game.

I don't know if Lou takes that risk again when Moose was shelled in that stretch of putrid play. I think he's still here but I wouldn't be shocked if he was a buy-out.

Honestly, I wish he would retire so we can try to get someone younger to split with Marty next year but that's not happening.
