I think it will be a closer series than other Devils fans are giving the team credit for, but ultimately, no Jack, Dougie, and Siegenthaler is such a blow.

Probably the least interesting series in the playoffs.

The Canes are going to pretty heavily control ES play.

So it comes down to whether the Devils goaltending and defense can hold up and if they can counter with special teams.

If they can, this will be a series. If they cant it will be over very quickly.

This is a good take. The Canes have struggled for years to get even average performance in net and on special teams in the playoffs. There’s a decent chance it happens again and opens the door for their opponent. The question is whether it hits early enough to benefit NJ.
