Why? Both fairly bad teams that would likely be bottom 5-8 over an entire season . This devils team is probably worst in the East over a full season

Thing about giving up that goal is there is no game awareness. Team is up by two, you need to kill the PP. That's it. If you are losing or tied, then you do that.

Wonder what we will even get for him at this point?! That’s what happens when your GM is passive and waits, waits, waits. See Holtz. I’m going to be livid if the 2OA goes for an underwhelming return. 7OA effectively became Cotter (who I like as a fourth line player) but a complete waste of a pick.

It's sad how Fitz's top draft picks have been considerably worse than Shero's.
Even Zacha was a hell of a lot better than Holtz and possibly even Nemec.

Give me Casey. These dudes suck defensively anyway. Why not insert a player who can help us offensively? It’s not like we get much scoring production from our blueline.

I would say bench Nemec for that, but you can't have a defenseman that's only played a minute for the game.
One of his supposed strengths was poise and his hockey IQ. It’s crazy to think about.

I agree with @TheUnseenHand
I don't think there's a ton of difference between these two teams at the current point in time, so that's not all that surprising to me.
No Jack, Dougie, Siegs all year, no Glass...if you ran that team all year, I feel pretty comfortable that they are behind Buffalo in the east.

The lack of execution on this team is staggering sometimes. All Cotter had to do there was a one foot drop pass to Hughes for a three on two, instead he passes it four feet left for absolutely no reason.
