This stretch looks like a disaster to me. Add tomorrow and it reeks of 2-6. Winnipeg loss, we suck in afternoon games and have lost 2 of 3 to Philly already. Columbus always gives us fits as it is and now they are trying to jump us, loss. Oilers are better, loss. We'll beat the Pens, loss to Jackets again. Beat the flames, loss to Ottawa who is also trying to jump us.

I think it's going to be an absolutely horrible bumpy ride coming up.

Would love nothing more to be wrong but this team has been shit since December and just lost their best player and the only time they made the playoffs was the 1 year he played almost the entire season.

Embrace the doom because it's coming in strong.

Jets, yes, tough matchup. Besides that, NJ can put up a decent stretch here. They outplayed Dallas (IMO) twice in the last two weeks. They still have enough pieces to be a solid team.

Wish nothing but best for the team and once again I like Doom but that said doesn't change the fact it's a bad trade and overpayment....Want to call that being negative go ahead but then the opposite is true your positive side Imo is your head in the sand....Traff was trending well and fit a future need Doom will be gone after the season or postseason is over....The Rangers got Soucy for a third no retention that would have been a better deal and someone you could flip at draft (not sure of his term)....Fitz got locked in and PV new the fish was on the hook....

The franchise's future is the core, not nothing prospects who can be used for trades to make the team better. There is also no way this is his only move, and if it is he needs to be fired. They have a ton of cap space again and need to use it this time, which they failed to do last year.

I agree with that, but still even if you acknowledge that Walman might've been worth simply nothing, or even a small pick back, he was definitely not worth anything close to a 1st round pick at the time.

One issue with the ordinal relation of picks is that it's easy to lose sight of the fact that a late 1st is worth more than e.g. 2 late 2nds, and likewise for subsequent rounds.

We threw away our 2nd rd(whether we use it to draft or actually use it as capital for better player) and our 3rd rd pick from last year....(not making him the 2nd coming of Jesper Bratt)
