was once a "top 100" (I think?) prospect, part of a big trade for the devs at the time, has a good shot that made people wonder hmm maybe there's something there with him
I'm so much happier when guys line Bowers and Dowling play. Keep bringing 30+ yr old randos in who WANT it than thesec guys who are 'supposed' to be talented.

Should’ve went with Dicksinson over Silayev.
6’3 194 can skate and is play both ends of the ice while being clearly good offensively.
You are good in googling. May be go watch his games and try to say that he isnt trying to create offense without hurting defense. Dickinson is very good but he is nowhere as good in controlling the space by using the skate on Silayevs level. Who was literally drafted for defensive game to help making our defensive lines top notch with Luke, Simon and Seamus in the pipeline. This is what literally is going on with Devils this season - with Kovy, Pesce and Dillion this team is playing on another level. There is a reason why Silayev is playin second pair defensive role and 2 or 4 or even 5 minutes in PK sometimes in KHL against way harder competition.

But you are here just to "FITZ IS SOOO DUMB" comments. Again and again. I dont know what Fitz did against you but you should forgive him.

Was just rewatching some of that 5 minute PK, Bill had a great call lol. "A 5 minute masterpiece on the kill, and Dowling delivers the dagger"

Listen. In my final season at the Inman Beer League in Edison, I had 11 points in 10 games as LHD. I reckon I could have gotten 20 points in a full year in the NHL
 Keeping stats in beer league.......... (I had a pretty sweet assist last night, at least one other shot assist, I think +2 on the night, 3 sog's).

Wanting to play a player who doesn’t stand out, but is otherwise harmless to the team’s play over MacD isn’t really people “loving” the guy.
There is still some hope he fullfills some promise. Including from Fitz, though I think he was hoping for this last year, more so than this year.

Maybe! I was more along the lines of what you said earlier about people loving him.

Him being “JAG” still makes him upgrade over MacD.

At this point I prefer Bowers over Foote. But the Meier suspension opens the door for both guys to get in the lineup and I'd like to see Foote play well. But I also want to see Bowers and Dowling and Tatar play well. I'm funny like that.

Edit: But yeah, Mac is clearly a non player, they protect the hell out of his minutes, and he still puts up terrible numbers. Foote is not that.

Lost in all the feels:
Mercer has been noticably good for a bit.
This team needed all of Dillon, Siegs, Pesce and Kovacevic this year:
No Dillon, Siegs is paired with Hamilton like last year.
No Pesce and Luke isn't nearly as confident and free to roam.
No Kovacevic, Dougie is getting tougher assignments and more minutes.

The buy-in to Keefe's system is becoming evident.

Bratt, who took a big step defensively last year, is even better this year.

Jack's reads defensively on the backcheck are still weak but his overall defensive pay has been terrific.

Cotter and Noesen adds have been far better than advertised.

Nemec and Casey are growing and learning the game so there will be no need for an add on defense.

We haven't seen the best of Meier at all this year.

Overall great team defense has gotten us past some bumpy goaltending, and some great goaltending has gotten us past some bumpy defense early.

The faceoff domination has won us games.

Lots of storylines without even mentioning that our Captain plays more like Elias each day.

Inman was cool, they actually kept stats (goals and primary assists) and even posted it on the website. Not sure if they still do that

We have an app that gives a post game report, but there is nothing in it besides the final score.

Have to keep it all up here-

Think one of our guys played at inman at some point.
