As someone who has had back spasms, they can be pretty serious. Especially if it's a herniated disc that is the cause. I wouldn't be so quick to assume it's nothing.

Sometimes back spasms are a symptom of something bigger, sometimes back spasms just happen and resolve themselves on their own. We don't really have enough information to panic yet. Hopefully it's just a d2d thing.

Devils are ranked number 9 in ESPN+'s future power rankings, which rank how teams will shake out over the next three years. Notably, right ahead of them is Detroit. That's enough to make me not put any weight on them.

God I want that so much, but the cheapest ticket for the Caps game is over $90. Unfortunately I'm gonna have to pass, but I'm glad the marketing team has all these fun ideas.
Labanc’s killing it.
That’s f***ing hilarious. Detroit has a better case for 28th than 8th. They f***ing suck and there’s no reason to believe they’ll be anything more than like a bubble team.
Rangers maybe a tad high but I find it hard to argue they don’t deserve to be somewhere around there. They won the President’s last year, ECF in 2 of the last 3 years, 5th in the league in pts% so far. At worst the 2nd best goalie in the world, at worst I’d say the 3rd best Dman in the league, Panarin’s insane. With that core 3 they’ll always be in contention.

Can’t say I expected this much from him but he really looked great in preseason and not getting rid of the goon to make the room looks even more moronic than it did at the time and it was pretty f***ing stupid then.

The thing with Labanc is what it is. No ill will there. He took what I perceive was a better opportunity to have a more impactful role than he would have had here. He certainly would be better than what we've trotted out on the 4th line as of late, but I don't know that he would have found a way into our top 9 the way things have shaken out.
I know everyone will shout Palat, but they play different wing spots as far as I know. I don't think he would've taken a spot from Bratt, Mercer or Noesen.
Let's bring him back for a cheap pick.

The only reason Labanc is attractive is because the team has done such a poor job drafting forwards recently. There should be a few prospects at Utica with actual talent playing their way up to the NHL. Maybe Foote will help but the organization is barren at forward right now.
Labanc has one shot on goal in the last 5 or 6 games? I am sure his underlying numbers look good but would he just be another Tatar on our bottom six?
Don’t get me wrong, I want him over a MacDermid and it was a misstep to not make room for him after the preseason. But I am sure Fitz can find an adequate bottom 6er in the near future.

Thankfully we won last game and are good against the upcoming teams and built ourselves a good lead with playing more games than teams in the division.

The Stillman whiff is a bit annoying. Would’ve been nice to have a guy that looked NHL capable from that spot in the draft, but even that appears to be a long shot.
