GDT probably not up until 1:00. I’m gonna try not to make it too long. Because when I go to these games I should probably be making them the night before, like I used to last year.

I think he finished out the last game fine after that partially dirty headshot play.

I ran into Nico at Publix getting a deli wrap. He said he was fine and just needed to get the left arm amputated after the season.

Over the recent stretch Jack's gotten going, Bratt's gotten going, Mercer's produced some more, Dougie's at least putting up pts. It's Timo and Luke's turns to really start rolling as well. Timo only has the 1 goal in his last 5 and 4 pts in his last 10. Luke just the 2 pts on the year. Timo only had 13 totals shots in the 8 games before the last 2. Thankfully they both were great in the Panther games. Timo had 9 shots across those 2 games. Luke was the best player on the ice and was doing the Luke things offensively again.

Publix subs are massively overrated (maybe it's just because I''m used to Wegmans). But Publix fried chicken is BOMB. Get the mac and cheese and potato wedges as your side, I lived off that for four years when I was in grad school.

I normally don't eat Publix subs, but my best and his family are staying with me, as they had some minor damage from Helene, as they live on water.
His wife came home with a half a Publix sub, I can't remember what was on it. Ham and cheese or turkey? I can't even remember anymore.
She told me to eat it if I wanted to. I was having a low blood sugar crash due to too much exercise, too little food and ran to the fridge to devour it quickly. It was a lot better than I thought it would be. I have rarely eaten a Publix sub though.

We have also lost Haula production too. I mean, I'll definitely take Jack, Bratt, Nico, Dougie, Noesen, and some Mercer points and lose a bit of Haula. If Haula is the only guy not producing out of those guys, we will be okay.
Agree on Timo, but even if his production is dipping a bit, if it is at least in key moments when he gets em.. like in the 1st Florida game... We all good

I am right now at a 1 with this team, if we beat Tampa I will be really pleased. Never forget what they did to Vats.

Timo’s not going to score as much after being taken off the PP1.
Plus he’s playing tough minutes with Nico and those minutes got harder when we lost Lazar.
He's averaging the lowest shot rate of his career in AS and 5v5. His 5v5 P/60 is around 2. I'm not saying he's been bad or anything because he hasn't. He's been good and the defensive bounce back has been great. I don't think it's crazy to think he has more to give though and can be better.

Timo is looking good this year, but he’s fallen behind in scoring over the last while. He’s probably the streakiest of our top guys though, he’ll likely have a month sometime that puts him amongst the goal lead of the team again. I think a 30 goal 30 assist season is good for him, maybe too low for his contract but not being on pp 1 is not his fault really.

One thing I noticed along time ago but forgot post about.
If you watch game recaps on the NHL app or NHL.com, one of the ads they show constantly is for the new NHL25 video game.
One of the sound clips in it is Steve Cangialosi saying ''It is all Hughes right now!'' which is kind of funny, as this is his third year of not being an announcer. So that's definitely at least a 3 season old clip.
I keep having the idea in my head that he'll be a potential candidate to replace Sam Rosen after this year, but he probably doesn't want to do it, as it was his call to stop calling games for us. If not Bob Wischusen, but it'll probably be Kenny Albert.
