Just wanna pop in and say referring to a man as "STI" even if that's his initials is crazy work
Those are indeed his initials. Also, a lot quicker to type than his social security number.

I wish @WhiskeyYerTheDevils would post in our sub a bit more. I always look forward to reading his posts. Same for @StevenToddIves prospect analysis , @Brodeur and his awesome hockey travel/draft stories & @Jason MacIsaac whom I belive is/was a real hockey scout.
We're lucky here -- @Guadana and @evnted are truly gifted prospect analysts. The Devils HFBoards are a goldmine for prospect/draft analysis.

They'll address C through the draft like they did RHD.

But at the NHL level, it's going to be veterans in the bottom six C positions. Learning time is over. Plus you'll get plenty of cup chasers.

If Casey or Nemec is out the door, it's for Jack's elite wing with term or team control.

I think I'm as proud of the Brock Faber call as any. I was shocked he wasn't universally considered a 1st rounder and said it often -- his consensus ranking was weirdly 2nd/3rd round. He had every imaginable box checked off except for stats, and that's strictly due his deployment on the US-NTDP as a shut-down guy. But anyone could see his puck skills were excellent. I'm not sure if it was a hit by myself (and Cam Robinson, the only other analyst who ranked him in the 1st) as a miss by everyone else, but I'll take it.

If he had Seider top 15 and Fox in the 1st round, he's certainly worth listening to. These were very gutsy calls which turned out to be right on the money.
You also called Sanderson turning out the way he did. You saw that a mile away.

I'm going to do my best to get some prospect writing up on these pages starting around the WJC tournament, but I can't make promises because I'm working a ton of hours trying to promote my novel. We'll see how it goes. But @evnted has been picking up more of the heavy lifting in the past couple years and you guys are in really, really good hands with him.

If they lose to Montreal tonight the season's over so you will have to double up on the book signing and prospect writing circuits.

Yeah trading Nemec or Casey should bring back a good young center or maybe a goalie.

On the other hand trading Hamilton probably costs us assets.

If he's still a proven high level player, he won't cost us assets, even if we won't get a sweet deal. If he isn't...all the more reason to dump him and not cheaper prospects.

Probably, but it's probably worth it for the cap space while also keeping stud D prospects.

Both Casey and Nemec should end up being more valuable then a third line center

This timeline for Nemec made the most sense with the Devils schedule and the guys coming back from injury.
