Toronto has beaten us 3 straight? I thought we beat them all 3 times we played them last year? Which was in like a 2 week span in March and/or April. I believe that's where 3 of the Travis Green era wins came.

If we didn't beat them three times, it was definitely two times.

You skipped the key “in Newark” part.

WOOHOO. We got a point vs the Leafs at home. 1 point at home would be a theme that season.
Note:

Away 15-18-2
*This included three OT loss streak @ home, a streak that included a SO loss to the Habs where Kovy was the only scorer.

Underwhelming home record that year.

In case anyone is wondering (it could theoretically happen!)…

While 2022-23 had our best record overall (52-22-8, .634), and best away record (28-9-4, .732), it’s not close to our best home record (24-13-4, .634).

2 seasons tied that home winning % (07-08 and 11-12) and 13 (!) seasons beat it (90-91, 91-92, 93-94, 94-95, 96-97, 97-98, 99-00, 00-01, 02-03, 05-06, 06-07, 08-09, 09-10).

The 4 Seasons with a +700% win percentage at home.

Foote clears waivers.
As did Desimone, Bowers, and White. All were assigned to Utica as was Daws.

At the same time Utica assigned Andre Ghantous, Kevin O'Neil, Tag Bertuzzi, Tyler Brennan, and Jace Isley to the Adirondack Thunder.

Ahhh, my bad.

We DID LOSE to them at home last year! I don’t know why I thought we won all 3 games against them last year late in the season. We won 2 of them, which I’m pretty sure we were mightily outplayed (#TravisGreenHockey) and had one of our most fraudulent victories of the year in at least one of those. Probably both of those.

The one game we did lose was at home. Somehow the winning streak being snapped at 13 by them at home in 2022 sticks out. I can still remember stuff being thrown on the ice!

We beat them twice but both on the road. One was the Allen hero game and other was the Bratt hero game.
Then which one was the Travis Green hero game?:sarcasm:

Maybe it’s a mistake but I saw where MSG advertised the Thursday hour long pregame as including interviews with GM Tom Fitzgerald and assistant GM Martin Brodeur…I thought Dan McKinnon and Kate Madigan were both the assistant GM’s (they are listed as such on the team website, and Marty still has the EVP of hockey operations title).

Our numbers got bumped up a little when he did his last minute tweaks.

It’s not due to the two games vs BUF and Sabres got a very slight (+0.1) bump up too.

I'm so curious how things are affected after only the 2 games being played. I don't think we move much but I could see it having caused Buffalo to dip a bit.

Yeah to be fair assistant GM would probably be a demotion from EVP of hockey operations - I mean Marty is listed just behind Fitz and above the assistant GM's on the flowchart - it's just an interesting freudian error to the extent I guess they want to make Marty seem hands-on (EVP of hockey ops comes off as more of a suit job), which he probably is anyway.

The 'bottom two'...the funny thing is that we all roll our eyes at one poster dying on the hill of they MUST CHANGE THE NICO LINE NOW, but there's almost no scenario where he won't find a reason to crow about being 'right' in the end.

Either they eventually change - which they almost inevitably will for one reason or another - and he says see I told you they needed to change, or they never change and anything short of a Cup it's because we kept Jack with Bratt and Timo too long. It's actually a sneaky smart hill to die on in a sense although the point of most of us isn't that they should never change, it's that they will but they don't NEED to change in the next five minutes of October despite Veruca Salt-like protests that they must change now.
Well if Ive been found out -
