I saw Jack Hughes at a grocery store in Jersey yesterday. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything. He said, “Oh, like you’re doing now?” I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but he kept cutting me off and going “huh? huh? huh?” and closing his hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard him chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw him trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen Milky Ways in his hands without paying.

The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Sir, you need to pay for those first.” At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter.

When she took one of the bars and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually “to prevent any electrical infetterence,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After she scanned each bar and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.

I read this exact story somewhere about someone else. I thought it was real the first time.

Now I wanna know where this story originates from. It was word for word, other than changing the name of the other person to Jack Hughes and this other story was taking place somewhere else. Not in Jersey.

the best copypasta i know is

'I just smashed my TV in front of 30 guests at my party because of the game. My wife just took our crying kids and said they’re all spending the week at a hotel. This team has ruined my life and my party. I can’t handle this anymore. Goodbye (_____). I am no longer a fan'

Always a classic

The newer material is Masood Boomgaard's motivational talk on sports teams

i agree with you if its "off hours" then say F em dont sign be rude thats fine. but team events that have restrictions on what people can bring to sign and all that just act like you want to be there.

A season ticket holder can easily go to these events and decide they want to sell the signed merch at a higher price. Devils seasons aren't that expensive compared to most other sports teams as well.

If Grits doesn't sign until next year, I think he has to do the 1 year ELC thing.

If we burn his 1 year ELC this year like Vegas did with Gusev, I wouldn't be surprised if Grits gets a decent amount more than the 1.8 Tatar is getting right now next season. 2 years, 2.5 aav or something?
I want to say kaprisov was in the 2.2 range
