If they send him back and Blackwood is literally up here to sit on the bench in a ball cap and possibly get into a garbage time game in relief, then it’s whatever.

But if we get a point where someone other than Vitek is starting a game? It’s gotta be him.

They gotta go the route Montreal did in 2014 when Price was hurt and stuck Tokarski in goal instead of Budaj, who was the backup. Or like when Nashville used Ingram for the rest of the Colorado series after Rittich got blown up in the 1st period of game 1 and Saros wasn’t available to play.

Blackwood can be the backup for Vitek, but he can’t be the starter over anybody, if at least one of those two guys is able to dress.

Tonight’s game was yet another message that the universe or whatever you believe in is trying to send. That message was first evident back in November.
