Can't argue with that, it's been quite the ride. Hopefully it gets resolved soon.
Stay tuned for another episode of :

For those who have access to any of the the Twitter card guys, how is Boqvist looking this season?

He’s seemed to figure out his game and his niche so far. Really curious to see if it’s starting to reflect at all in the underlying numbers.

He doesn’t even have one available for Dom from the Athletic’s model…not sure why. Zetterlund even has one, so not like it’s a minimum games played issue or anything.

Dom seems to only show the players he has in the starting lineup and the last go-around had Sharangovich there instead of him.

its like, people see the Devils having defensive breakdowns and don't realize that literally every other team has defensive breakdowns as well.

"They're gonna get crushed!!"

okay man.

At times it does feel like people are disappointed or even angry if every player isn’t visibly playing their ass off while performing on all cylinders.

There are peaks and valleys for players and lines/pairs.

The Haula line’s number are pretty eye-popping, particularly defensively. We might actually have a 3rd line with solid greasy goal capabilities.

The Hughes line has been a mess for awhile, they did better than usual last game. (If they scored people would have thought that more too.)

People also seem unwilling to just admit that Timo is really out of sync with the team and it has created issues.

It's normal and shouldn't have been unexpected
And he's been fine regardless of that. He was good the first two periods last night but unfortunately he had a bad 3rd. It happens and it won't be his last bad period either. He's still settling in with the team. I don't know why Ruff spilt him up with Jack. If anything, I would've switched Bratt and Mercer since he broke up the first line anyway.

He hasn’t played since 2/18 and has only had a couple practices with the team, so sure?

The Hughes line had been shaky defensively with Shara before this so I don’t know what issues he’s specifically creating though.

I guess our PP will be even messier but he should improve it by being able to score on it.

People’s expectations got too high, Meier isn’t going to be producing every game.

Maybe the key WAS having Haula on Hughes's line.

It was a major issue in the defensive breakdowns in Arizona.

Point being is everyone is rushing to blame Jack, Bratt, or Vitek, when the obvious culprit is the guy that doesn't know the system yet.

Watch the Arizona game again. It was pretty clear that Jack and Bratt were operating under the impression that Timo would be in one place yet he was somewhere else.

But it's kind of obvious his unfamiliarity with the system is more the issue then Jack or Bratt.

Yegor being a defensive drag isn't really news

Maybe Hughes-Haula-Meier could stir the drink even more…

But I’d be curious to see Meier-Hughes-Bratt some more. They were cooking in the first period last night.

Jack has looked awful and out of place every time he has been tried at wing.

Faceoffs aren't really the issue so much as that line tries to be too fancy in the D-zone and that's been extrapolated with Timo not being in sync yet.

It's all very fixable stuff that shouldn't require putting the lines into a blender.

Jack not scoring goals as much lately is simply bad luck. He is still generating plenty of chances

He definitely doesn't quite know where to be yet and is playing some pond hockey. He'll produce though until he can figure out the system. I know our schedule is tight these next couple of weeks but hopefully they can get some practice in.
