But I’ve seen nothing to this point other than him now being listed on the team website? I’m not sure if he’s serving in a new position the organization just created or if he took over for someone else.
The fact that he was a Goaltending Coach, though....

...maybe Rogalski's replacement (soon) or something?

ANYONE would be an upgrade, tbh.

Timo Meier had one fight this year vs Anders Lee according to Hockey Fights

Brady had two. One against Brendan Dillon (oh no one tough) and the other against Mackey
Brady had 6 fights last year.

But let's look at that Brendon Dillon fight.

Brady Tkachuk runs a guy on Winnipeg. Dillon doesn't like that. Dillon fights him. In what universe is that Brady Tkachuk standing up for his teammates? DILLON stands up for his teammates in that scenario. Tkachuk is answering the bell for more dirty bullshit.

The Mackey fight I will give him credit for standing up for Stutzle.

The dumba fight he was bitchy about a hit he took, no teammates involved.

Tucker fight was for no reason off the draw.

Tuch fight he was upset about himself getting hit, no teammates involved.

Rasmussen fight he hit Walman dirty, then was tussling up with Seider before rasmussen stepped in. Again, not standing up for his teammates.

A fight =/= standing up for your teammates. And sometimes being a dirty player can get your own teammates in trouble later on

I thought we were talking whether he was worth Nemec in trade, not how much his salary should be.
Money value in my eyes can be pretty easily exchanged to draft pick value at a rate of about 6 mill per 1st

I guess he could be someone in line to take over for Rogalski if he's canned.

I'd have to think if the goalies don't perform competently this year that Rogalski is gone once and for all.

I also thought he was definitely gonna be a goner once last year ended, but maybe the fact that 2 of the 3 goalies here in 22-23 were competent gave him a stay of execution.

And the fact that the two post-deadline goalies also played well. Maybe they helped save him.

This thread is exhausting. Who cares about Brady tkachuk? He’s fought and bad assed his way to a whole bunch of nothing in the league. Devils top players arent ass kickers, never will be. They’ll grow into more solid bodies but other than that they are what they are and they’ll need to define success in their own way and it won’t be like the panthers win. Doesn’t mean they’re failing at the starter blocks here, they just have to do it their way and they can. It’s weird to lust over some other teams player, might as well just wish for an all star team while we are at it.

Its just a hockey discussion. No need tiring yourself out over it.

I wouldnt trade Nemec for either Brady Tkachuk or Timo Meier; hes going to end up better than Luke I think (just less offense)
If NJ is moving Nemec it’s only in return for a guy like Anderson from Montreal. NJ might have to add since Anderson still has term left.

“That’s not how it’s supposed to work” lol

Yes, big gritty players never get hurt, are always unstoppable, and never let you down.

Like stuffed animals, they make you feel safe and warm.
The obvious point I was making was really hasn't been a "physical winger" since he's been here. Certainly not in any consequential manner.

That’s not true, in the sense that I’ve seen him play very physical hockey on the ice.

What you consider “consequential” is up to you. How much you want to complain about injuries is also up to you.

My left ankle is hurting. Of course my neck hurts a bit too since I slept on it at a funny angle last night. Thanks for asking.

Yeah the last 2/3 weeks of this season has been about it... garbage time... inconsequential. He certainly didn't play physical at the beginning and for the majority of this season.

He apparently had two MCL injuries and a shoulder that needed surgery. How’s that archery going for you with that shoulder?

Meier’s play picked up earlier than the very end of March (3 weeks), and certainly before April (2 weeks), so your timeframe is way too short here.

I don’t care enough about 2023-24 to pinpoint his resurgence. Pretty sure it included Febuary, which would make it months and not weeks.

His offense game picked up at the end of February...he wasn't physical until much later though

48 of his 111 hits came after March 1st.
