It's simply a matter of, when people say "don't the analytics say pull early?" my evidence-based response is "bleh..."
That I hate pulling early is more my opinion.
Isn't there a problem with this in the sense that there's probably next to zero data of offense with and without pulling the goalie - simply because every team in the league eventually pulls the goalie at some point? Also, it's pretty obvious that pulling the goalie also increases the chances of losing the game more than it does without doing it but that data is pretty useless without also knowing the unknowable - 5v5 scoring with two minutes left with the goalie staying put.
