I'm sure these back door insurance policy kind of European deals get negotiated all the time and no one ever knows about it. I'm just wondering if Stefan intentionally released this because he thought it would help him, or if he was just careless and it got out without him knowing.

I don't see anything to complain about, we have plenty of cap space and even more coming off in the next few years.

Plus it keeps my Zacha player t shirt reveleant for a while longer lol

And if he sucks this season we can always leave him open for the Seattle expansion draft.

“There are teams out there who like Pavel Zacha, too. Monday’s mini-blowuphad other GMs wondering if the Devils would trade him, although Tuesday’s treaty makes that unlikely. Two-way centre who kills penalties. Still young, room to evolve. Centres are hard to find.”

From the 31 thoughts column.

Not gonna lie, I find this a little hard fo believe.

He's a cheap, serviceable NHL center. He just looks a lot worse because he was #6 overall in a good class, from which there are 11 first-rounders selected after him with more NHL points.

Pavel Zacha the NHL player is ok. Pavel Zacha the #6 overall pick in a good class is bad.

Why would it be hard to believe other teams would have interest in Zacha? He is already an established NHL player, was a 6th overall pick and is still only 22. I'm sure there would've been plenty of teams interested for the right price.

It's not hard to believe to anyone with a brain but some of these posters in here see him as a failure because he hasn't put up a lot of points.

There are a lot of teams out there who would love to take a flyer on Zacha. High draft pick, still very young, considerable untapped offensive upside but a pretty safe floor as an every night NHL regular.

No one would give up premium assets but I can definitely see other teams being interested. He's a great option as a low/mid risk reclamation project.

I get that he's been a disappointing pick at #6 in THAT draft, but the amount of posters completely writing this guy off to the point that they were fine with the Devils losing an asset like that to the KHL was rather surprising.

Damn. We must have been on the brink of War with the nation of Zacha if a Treaty was needed. :sarcasm:
