He's not bad on high danger chances. It's soft shit on shots that aren't as high danger. He's difficult on breakaways takes up a ton of net when he's square. It's rebound control and like every modern goalie it's playing too much from his knees leaving too much on top open. Kinda glad he gets pepperd in these games. It's the 5 on 26 games with horrible breakaways infront of him that have been a disaster with him.

Specific egregious error? Not really but the team gets caved in when he’s on the ice and he does absolutely nothing to maintain possession or create offense. He does the opposite.

My guess is group of friends took a trip down to Nashville and planned it around the Devils game. One of the friends is an Islanders fan. The same thing happened with one of my friends during the Giants/Titans game this fall. Showed up in an Eagles jersey.

Smith continues to be our worst defenseman. It's unfortunate because his physical play is also something which would be lagging without him in the lineup. Hopefully Bahl can step up into that role one day.
