Devils beat the defending champs 4-1 who were on a seven game winning streak, on the road, with no rest and practice. Why should we even watch this team? Not a fun group to watch. /s

I got down on them a bit early in the game. They looked pretty bad in the first and awful in the first half of the second, but man did they play a solid game after the Panthers goal. When they're on, they're on. Good stuff!

Was it pretty? Not at all. Got punched in the mouth early 2nd period and then they found themselves after the Dillon fight. They took no BS from that point on.

Beating the defending champs on a 7 game win streak in their own building is huge. Doing it in their 4th game in 6 nights makes it even more impressive. Everyone bought in tonight.

And as much flack as Markstrom has taken he was phenomenal tonight. Props where it’s due

They weren’t awful in stretches in the 1st, the two dumb penalties exasperated that. They only really has a bad stretch in the first half of 2nd. Then they were competitive with Panthers in the last 30.
