So I assume your nephew has a favorite or new favorite player now?Cotter gave my nephew a warmup puck and then scored. He may have made a Devils fan out of a Florida native

Appreciate you, thanks!!
For those who missed the game....
(Or just want to see this great tilt again)
Last year was a hiccup. Siegs has been very solid defensively for most of his time with us. Value contract. He also made a phenomenal play to intercept Tkachuk's pass that lead to Timo's goal to give us the lead back.
I'm so proud of Siegs after the trying year he had last year. He has been fantastic this season so far.
"Believe what you want" can also mean "you have your own viewpoint and I have mine".That was in response to you saying “believe what you want” which isn’t exactly what I’d call civil discourse as a first response to my points. My response to that was entirely warranted whether you like it or not.
Yeah I mean...if Tkachuk starts something at the end of the game (provided the Devils are about to win), then Captain3rdLine's point is proven that the deterrent didn't work.As for the Tkachuk thing, you've made reference to the score keeping Tkachuk in check last night, but it was 3-1 and then 4-1 at the end of the game. We've seen Tkachuk try to "send a message" before in that situation (when he dragged Hischier around comes to mind). Last night nothing. Maybe it was just an off night for him or he's saving it for Thursday. But I think he's a fraud when he thinks he will have to answer the bell to a player who will willingly fight him and who is the same size or bigger than him. Again, just my thoughts. Others can see it differently.
What a weird vibe in there lol. Why they are so mad and on the verge of tears? It’s a game in November.General consensus among Panthers fans is that “the Devils will never get close to the Cup, they don't score the right type of goals, the refs missed half a dozen blatant calls against them" etc.
So we must have done something right, lmao
MacDermid has limited value but last night in the last few minutes of the game he was a deterrent. I'd love to see the league get rid of the need for a MacDermid type of player but until the league realizes it's the 21st century there will still be a few of those guys around. I just wish he'd be more assertive in his role. He really only fights the other team's true super heavyweight and he is so adverse to a penalty that he will let smaller players get away with borderline hits on NJ players where he should beat the snot out of the opponent.Yeah I mean...if Tkachuk starts something at the end of the game (provided the Devils are about to win), then Captain3rdLine's point is proven that the deterrent didn't work.
HOWEVER, if Tkachuk still stays in his lane (which I think he will do), then mr. Mac-PunchHisFace's presence IS a deterrent.
Is DD staying with you guys or did he drive to Miami to be at the arena early? That was a long day. I’m staying with my friend on the East Coast of the state, where I stayed during Milton last month. Only he’s actually home and went to the game with me.
That would be too much of a drive to head back home, then head back to Sunrise on Thursday.

They were the best team we played so far this season. They are going to be a problem in the playoffs.I haven’t seen it but they won the Cup 5 minutes ago and are 11-4-1.
Time to kick back and enjoy the high, all sports turns to pain soon enough.
My best guess from hearing one of their reporters on NHL radio the other day is that they're kind of in a "show you're for real" stretch against some tougher teams, and getting off on the wrong foot has them all upset people are gonna call them frauds or something.I haven’t seen it but they won the Cup 5 minutes ago and are 11-4-1.

Devs were looking past the Sharks towards winning this game.
Mercer looking like he had a really strong showing.
Something I still have noticed is there is cohesion among the players while the lines are in the midst of changing and plays don't die when a line has to come off. Last night, Mercer sprung Timo for his go-ahead goal and then Nico helped carry the play to dish it to Cotter for goal 3.
Again, it might just be nothing but I know Keefe talked about it during the Czechia trip about how Lazar's line did the work to get Nico his goal in the first game. I wonder if it's a point of emphasis. But it's something I've certainly noticed throughout the season so far.
He got committed for 48-72 hours. Is DD staying with you guys or did he drive to Miami to be at the arena early?
I agree MacDermid has value in this very specific situation: up multiple goals against a team that has an interest in "sending a message" for the next matchup. It's pretty much a staged fight opportunity.MacDermid has limited value but last night in the last few minutes of the game he was a deterrent. Thats what the marketing department wants us to believe.Luke Hughes had a hell of a game.
