I have very little hope for this one. I legitimately don't think this team is capable of beating the Panthers if Florida is in their game. But I do hope they prove me wrong. Or Florida takes the night off.

I will never understand why some of you guys get so caught up on single game results.

This isn't the NFL where you almost never see huge upsets. And this wouldn't even be a "huge" upset.

Doors don’t open here until an hour before game time, but they usually will open them about 10 minutes before the half hour.

I’d like to know what those schedule makers were thinking with two straight games in Florida against the Panthers, all our back-to-backs and sheer amount of games this early in the season. Last year we had more back-to-backs than any team in the league. I would have to imagine they don’t say to themselves “let’s screw the Devils” but it’s pretty ridiculous. We do have a long history of getting hosed by the league.

The schedule making 82 games for 32 teams with travel is complicated. I think Tampa comes to NJ twice this year, so playing in Florida twice on the same trip saves travel (the trip to Florida is longer than you think). We get a lot of back to backs because we play in an area that doesn’t require a lot of travel. Also they try to have teams hit all three metro area teams when they come to town.
