Luke might already be elite on both ends. The points will come, he's too skilled for that not to happen, but his defensive game has improved like crazy.

I’ve always thought and said that the most potential for his game might be on the defensive side if he focuses on it. There are very few if any defensemen who have his size and power. He has a nice reach too. Really all the tools to be Slavin level good on the D side if he wants to be.
Not sure he’ll ever touch the offensive levels of the best offensive dmen but could be a 50-60 point guy who can score lots with his shot.
