Post something positive, mission impossible

Vanishes without a trace once they took a 3-2 lead :nono:
lol I pointed this out last game. Goes through the games just listing off players that suck at random points when he thinks they made a mistake. Nico sucks. Mercer can’t play hockey. Dougie is useless out there. Something like that.

One of the better games we player all season thus far. Back to back wins on the road against the defending Cup Champs is making me forget about the Sharks game from Sunday...lol

The Devils snapping the Panthers win streak and the Lightning snapping the Jets win streak tonight should make for a good game Saturday. Tampa has been a thorn in this teams side the last 5 years or so.

these next 3 really gonna be the biggest test of the season.
hopefully not.

it would be a shame to miss the playoffs with this team.

I still want one of Nelson, Palmieri or Vatrano traded for that Bratt/Jack line, mainly the last two since they're snipers and aren't volume shooters which is exactly what Jack needs at this stage of his career and why Timo somewhat failed with him as a linemate. Nelson would be better if they're still worried about Jack's face-offs, Nelson is pretty meh at them himself but he's over 50% this year, so if they wanna do the Haula-Hughes of 22-23 then Nelson is probably the guy to trade for barring the Isles making a random run to the bubble and in and Lou doesn't sell.
lou never sells

I still can’t stop thinking about Luke’s D.

so do we get a main board thread for smacking the champs twice? or is that just for when we lose to the sharks?

I love to lurk on other boards after we play well to see what’s what, and it’s been unusually quiet after these past 2 wins. I think people realize we’re actually good and don’t want to admit it lol.

Luke has looked like a monster the last few games.

With some puck luck he would have some signature defensive stops and some spectacular offensive plays. The offense is forgotten because the puck just happened to not go in.

If this is Luke’s current normal level of play then he’s probably already a top pairing guy and he could have more level ups to come.

That wasn’t what happened. It wasn’t like Luke was creating offense and the puck wasn’t going in. He wasn’t creating really any offense until the last few games

Got back from a show last night and watched on DVR, hot damn am I glad I did, that's one of the best games of the year so far.

Pretty incredible to go into Sunrise, survive an early onslaught in game one to win, then make adjustments and play even better in the same building against the same Cup winning team, just a complete effort all around. Panthers' only goals came off a slightly lucky bounce for Boq to make that sick move on and a snapper off the draw, and while Florida managed to tilt the ice a couple of times (and definitely could've scored in a couple of others when pucks got passed into the middle of the ice in front of Allen), by and large the Devils dictated the vast majority of this one.

Guessing the guys took the San Jose loss personally and wanted to make clear that wasn't supposed to happen. Also starting to see what this team can be when it has time to settle down and practice regularly, and it looks really nice.

I literally said “the last few games” and the you wrote “but only the last few games”.

So you actually agree but partial reading or comprehension tripped you up.

Well I didn’t think you meant the past few games for that part considering his offense has been acknowledged recently

You go to many Devils fans and they’re not going to realize the guy with 1 assist in the last 3-5 games is actually creating a lot of offense. At least not in the conversations that I see.

Even here, I think the post game discussion talk about his defense but don’t talk about his offense really coming around because there aren’t points attached to it.

Yes and no. Tkachuck played with less edge. When he plays with less edge he’s less effective. We will never know the specifics but that’s the way I see it. For once tonight an opponent was forced to fight after hitting a Devil and got his bell rung. That’s the first time in how long? It’s not a good thing but the way the games are reffed it’s a necessary evil. NJ has to show the soft Ruff play style is no more and the team will push back as needed. Again your opinion may be different and that’s fine it’s just an observation
I wish he would take the same approach but that's just me.

Do you remember why that whole thing with Nico happened? It was because he hurt Barkov and they targeted him from there are on out.
Yes and it was ACCIDENTAL (there was even replays showing it was accidental). Barkov had the opportunity to de-escalate the situation and the sh*t-stain instead did nothing.

So f*ck him and f*ck Tkachuk. :madfire:

Keith wouldn't now dare pull any sh*t now that the Devils have someone who would cave his stupid face in.

Had absolutely nothing to do with lack of MacDermid. If Nico did that again tonight the same thing would probably have happened and MacDermid would have been watching from the bench unable to do a single thing.
It had everything to do with the lack of ENFORCERS on the team.

We had a team full of Soft-as-baby-sh*t players when it came to sticking up for teammates and the like.

Players like MacDermit, Cotter, and Dillon have brought a much-needed (desperately, I might add) toughness to this team that we have been lamenting it's absence for a long time now.

And dude....I was talking about AFTER THE GAME WAS OVER (do you remember THAT when Tkachuk CONTINUED to go after Nico after the game was over?)

The game was not going on so NHL GAME RULES did not apply, so MacDermitt would've been able to skate right over, tap Keith on the shoulder as he was grabbing Nico like he did, and start playing the drums with his f'n skull.
