They look more composed in their own zone. Not as much like headless chickens. And it's becoming more consistent.
11 goals against in the last 7 games. They look way better, and that's without any practice time and very small rest.

Wonder what our best 7 game goals against stretch was last season. Probably like ~22 goals against lol?

When guys can’t break into the top 6 but consider themselves skill guys, they move onto a new team.

It’s likely the reason he left the Devils and then Boston, because they had him it didn’t trust him with responsibility.

That’s the life of a skill guy who doesn’t score quite enough.

Meh, some of it had to do with Fitz and company overcorrecting. They moved on from Boqvist because it was easier to fix their bottom 6 with tougher and more physical guys than the top 6 after Carolina. The top 6 was virtually set for the next decade which Timo got traded here. They're only missing Gritsyuk and/or Lenni. I think if Fitz gets a mulligan, he keeps Boqvist. There was next to no issue with keeping him considering he was RFA at the time. They CHOSE to not bring him back at all.

Florida broadcast just said Dougie Hamilton "isn't an easy guy to beat 1-1" when talking about the Boqvist goal.

How does he have such a good reputation? Dude can't play defense.
He is hard to beat one on one. Every time I play him he just posts up and backs you to the basket and lays it in.

Why are you under the impression he would’ve even wanted to sign here? Kind of an important piece here. Not that Fitz would’ve even wanted him.

And yes, it’s important to point out that the discussion we’re having is quite useless considering these players don’t matter.

Because they didn't qualify him? If you want a player, you don't do that lmao

Bratt is amazing. Jacks off this game so far. Luke finally got another point. Dougie is a mess. Noesen might be toms best move.

I would rather have him than the turds we’re putting out there. But I’d rather have Lazar and Bastian. Boqvist wasn’t signing up to be a Utica Comet or an extra forward. It’s time to move on.

I do not need to hear how we’re missing this player lol. How many more wins are we getting per 82 games if you have Dowling or Boqvist?
I mean we could ignore lot of the roster stuff if we go down to that lol. but in a long 82 game season it would be nice to have a guy who can move up the lineup in a pinch which I don't think a guy like Bastian would be as successful as compared to Boqvist (Maurice playing him with Tkachuk rn and Boqvist can play center or wing) and when the injured players come back he still has the ability to play on the 4th line and PK.

And it doesn't have to be Boqvist but it's just the easiest guy to bring up since he was with the Devils and has signed for two years straight at league min, but this team needed more in forward depth but they went for Macdermid at 3 years instead of that. But yeah it's not a big thing so I'll stop this conversation and I'm sure that Fitz will address it come trade deadline or before

Lol apologies I didn't want it to come across like that, you can talk about it all you want of course, again I liked the player, but man what a strong period the boys played there!

Eh, it's just the same arguments whenever it comes up but yes they played great. I just hope it's not the opposite of Tuesday where Panthers play a good 25 mins and win. Next goal is HUGE
