It was a mistake for sure to let go of Boqvist but I only disagree with it being a big one. It's ok to say he doesn't move the needle that much (5 points in 17 games), but also true I'd rather have him over MacD, Dowling, Palat. Thankfully replacing 4th liners isn't an impossible task.

His 5v5 scoring rates put him solidly in middle 6 territory. There's a reason he's playing with Tkachuk and Bennett tonight.

I live in florida. I pay for DirecTV. I pay for the NHL package on directv. I pay for ESPN+.

I can’t watch the panthers on local television because i live too far away from their broadcast area.

I can’t stream on directv with a VPN because I don’t get that channel on my directv stream.

I can’t watch on ESPN+ because they say i live too close so i am in a local television blackout.

I am going to make some poor customer service rep for directv cry in approximately 6 minutes.

When I was a kid my parents had a channel called Sportschannel. It’s how I got to know the team and became a diehard Devils fan. Knowing there would be a Devils game would get me through so many awful days at school. Then, after waiting all day, the game would start and there would be a completely random chance the game would get blacked out. I live way over in western NY and it made absolutely no sense to me. Just as the game broadcast would begin it would switch over to some boring ass religious programming. As a kid nothing filled me with so much rage and sadness as those damn blackouts.

Put them together and he's 25 to 20, which is probably closer to what you'd expect. He's had 50% expected goal share the last 3 seasons.

1.049 is also far more sustainable than .913

He was gonna be a regular on that 23-24 team, where are we getting the assumption that he wouldn't have played? It's just some cope that Boqvist wasn't missed, this team had legitimate bums last year iin the bottom 6.

I don't love him anymore either, but the overreactions are weird.

When guys can’t break into the top 6 but consider themselves skill guys, they move onto a new team.

It’s likely the reason he left the Devils and then Boston, because they had him and didn’t trust him with responsibility.

That’s the life of a skill guy who doesn’t score quite enough.

Why are you under the impression he would’ve even wanted to sign here? Kind of an important piece here. Not that Fitz would’ve even wanted him.
