If you are live betting and aren’t at the game you are already well behind. There is a latency with over the air tv as well which is different for each affiliate. I have Sunday Ticket though Directv and if I can only watch one of the games though the CBS or Fox channel I can see a play almost a good 30 seconds (basically a full play) on Red Zone Channel/mix channel than on CBS or Fox.
Yes, for sure. But a nice tight band on NFLST on DTV (and Im no fan-boy of DTV, who is?). I've seen as high as 40 seconds. But usually in the 20-30 range. It' starts to become a problem when team's are in hurry-up, that's for sure.
ESPN+ NHL, otoh, is a minimum 70-80 seconds for me. Usually more.
The acid test for me is Twitter. If Twitter is beating my TV, then there's a problem. I've noticed it more for Devils away games this year than previous years. Amanda for the Devils and Roch Kubatko for the Orioles (Im an Orioles fan) are consistently ahead of linear TV by a few seconds. But they're *very* attentive. I imagine them both having Tweet-Deck open with multiple tweets written and ready to go and choose which one to give a tiny edit to and then send depending on the outcome.
