Bratt on the third line is a choice, but hopefully it creates matchup issues for the Leafs.

This is going to be a tough game, the Leafs are not pushovers. Hard to sustain the momentum carrying the win streak out to 11 games, but I'm hoping that we will play our game of relentless speed and come away with the win.

I don't mind them going this route with the lines at all, the staff has shown they will shuffle things up midgame if necessary so it's not like these are permanent. It was this change that ultimately got the 3rd and 4th goals last game which saw Mercer get the puck out and forecheck for Jack's 2nd goal and lead the initial break that Bratt ended up getting his goal on.

Bratt can drive his own line and hopefully open up some space with his puck carrying skills for Rango. He'll still get his PP1 time as well.

Yardstick game. I'm excited but I want to win this one badly, more badly than all the others.

Last year, I felt the Leafs were great and had the simple misfortune to run into a TB team that pulled out all its tricks to get the win.

This feels like the letdown game, but I've already felt that a couple times and they proved me wrong.

I don't mind splitting Bratt and Jack. They've shown that they will roll lines at even strength and change things around if it's not working.
Haula first goal tonight. Feeling it.

Every game is a potential let down game when a winning streak goes this long. Let's see how they look.

We absolutely had a few let down game performances during this streak but still managed to win. Hopefully we avoid that and play our game

The lines solely exist at this point to be jumbled after our patented sleepy first period.

Still waiting to Bahl and/or Holtz to get back in. I get it, 10 game winning streak, so why make a change like that. But still, two young guys that need to be playing whether it’s in the NHL or the AHL. Especially Holtz

Yeah it's been unfortunate. Both would have gotten into games recently if not for the winning streak.

Personally I feel like we still should have rotated them in during the streak, but realistically it's hard to quibble with coaching decisions when the team has done nothing but win.

I love it. They talked about this on the Devils Daily. Each guy, Hughes, Hischier and Bratt, can carry a line, so split them up and force Toronto to figure out how to defend it. Elevates the 2nd tier guys like Tatar, Mercer, Rango, and Zetterlund, and potentially fixes the issues with the third line.

If the lines aren't working, they will mix them up, so I have no issues with them starting them like this.

I feel like this might be the night they finally drop one. And I'm ok with it. But Toronto is gettable. We just can't have the same start we did against the Habs. Toronto will capitalize on those chances.

When we finally do lose I can't wait for everyone that has crawled into the woodwork to crawl back out and say "They stink, I told you so!"

Guarantee you one of them will be like "Bratt stinks, see? We should've left him exposed in the expansion draft"

Time for a Haula goal snowball to cash in on unlucky puck bounces.

If Haula, Rango, Sevs can score tonight.... They are all due a goal each. Its time.
