If you told me after the SJ Sharks disaster that we would go 2-1 on this trip, I'd probably say you were massively high. All the doom and gloom in here after pulling that game out on Tuesday and then winning like they did Thursday, I just don't get it. Tonight was a relative stinker but wasn't a disgrace. Get on the plane and go home for some rest

I think 2 of these 3 games have been stinkers. Markstrom saved them Tuesday. He almost saved them again tonight but they just gave him no support.

Actual projections have us with under 100, before this pathetic loss.

Dom at the Athletic has us at a 103 point projection before this game. Hockeyviz had us at 99 point, but Michal only has 3 teams over 100 points. Having followed his projections they are often throttled down and I would guys don’t project out OTL’s. I doubt this game changes projections much as it’s a road loss.

A loss at the end of a three game road trip where you won the previous two and 5 of the previous 2 games should not induce panic.

its the 6th game in 10 days. Against a good team/great goalie. It happens. You rest up and move on.

Which was my point exactly, thanks. We just played with the Panthers twice and didn't have the heavy lifting tonight along the boards.

Also, the Lightning just took away the blue line and passing lanes and we couldn't do anything cleanly

Good period are bad periods, good games are bad games, etc. etc.

I've been plenty down on them around the first TB game but I have a hard time complaining about their play since then, especially given the context.

Actually pretty sloppy night for him too with lots of missed passes compared to his last few stellar games. I think this was his worst decision making of the past few.

His defense was amazing tho.

Saw some talk of us going 1-4 in this tough 5 game stretch. They’re 2-1 at the moment. Hope for 4-1 but I’d be happy with 3-2 as well. They’ve taken 3 out of 4 points against the Caps so I’m hopeful they can get the job done there. The Canes are always a hurdle for us. Would be thrilled with a win against them
