Our start was quite good. Tampa found their game after their power play. That was when things turned and there were also a lot of confusing broken plays in center ice that led to their goal. They took over center ice and kept getting it back deep on us. Kucherov had that feed to Hagel about a shift before Paul’s goal.

We need to start getting the puck deep in them again, as Sal said. More of a lunch pail game, let’s not try to be so fancy.

It was nice playing defense in the OZ but we still weren't creating anything at all even though we had the puck in the OZ for most of the first half of the period.

I don't agree. Sure it'd be nice if his shot was going but his biggest problem is 100% his defense. His defense is dramatically worse than it's ever been. If he was his usual self defensively he wouldn't be a big problem right now.

He's worse than he's ever been, yes. But he has always had his "severson moments" where everyone is yelling to send him to the moon.

I would trade him if given the chance, but I also think he's gonna get better as the season goes on both offensively and defensively.

I'd like to see Tom bring up a few Comets to see if they can at least improve that 4th line over what they have now. Sit Big Mac, Send down Dowling, try Foote? Maybe Bowers at center? Willman? Halonen, Beckman? Someone?? Stillman?

Out of 208 Dmen that have played 100 minutes this year Dougie has the 9th worst GA/60 and 20th worst xGA/60. We're not quick to throw him in the trash. He's just bad.

The forwards in Utica aren't even good by AHL standards. Foote would be the only one I have much interest in kicking the tires on at the NHL level right now and that's just because we have seen him do a little something something at the NHL.

But Dowling, Willman, Beckman...it's all the same fodder.

they were out of sync in the dzone because dougie whiffed on a weird attempt at a check and then chased the play like my 8 month old golden retriever with a tennis ball

Dougie’s not going anywhere right now and everyone’s hoping he’ll get better but he’s infuriating right now.

Not having a functional 4th line sucks and Palat is a non-entity but those are minor issues.

The Dougie-Dillon pair being absolute sieves who pretty much give up more high danger chances than any other pair in the NHL is driving me crazy lol.

And it’s a car accident that we have to watch game after game.

Well here we go. It’s been about 5 periods, but we clearly didn’t come out for this one.

His "Severson" moments didn't translate into him being this bad though. He's at 4.19 GA/60 this year. His next worst is 3.9 in 21-22. Then a big jump to 3.16 last year. Everything else is 2.6 or better. His defense is the problem. Not his shot. This is just unacceptable.

He's also literally been on for more GF/60 than ever before so the offense is not the problem even if his shot is not what it was
