Long season still, but if someone is offering the PK Subban trade for Dougie trade this offseason and I have a chance to re-sign Kovacevic, I'd probably be willing to do that.

That's a complete and utter no brainer. Anyone offering anything for Dougie is found money. My hope is some team just takes him off of our hands for free and we don't have to give up anything to do it.

Dougie is an assist machine though.

Ppl were fine with zero points from D machine Pesce... And they are not okay with Hamilton not playing good D?

Yes? I don’t need Hamilton to be Slavin but his standing around the defensive zone while we get scored on is a problem.

We can’t shelter him against deeper teams and he won’t make it up with offense.

He has to better. I don’t remember him being this bad before and it’s not just a speed thing.

He's still got enough offensively in the tank I think to be worth positive value, especially if it's a team that will have some cap space and a need.

I don't think he has any positive value at 9 mil and being one of the worst defensive players in the league. There's also only 10 teams that he could be traded to. We're at a disadvantage moving him.

10 minutes ago I thought for sure I was going to get into a fight. When someone calls me boy...

Where you from boy...

New Jersey.

You don't sound like you're from New Jersey.

I said the Sopranos aren't real.

Dude bought me a drink.
Good for you... I've been hammered for the last 3 days straight.

I gotta get in shape now. Too much sitting has ruined my body. Too much abuse has gone on for too long. From now on there will be 50 pushups each morning, 50 pullups. There will be no more pills, no more bad food, no more destroyers of my body. From now on will be total organization. Every muscle must be tight.

Still just completely devoid of offense at 5v5. We had the puck for the majority of the first 10 minutes and like the only chance that was created was Lilleberg handing Jack the puck off the draw.

for some reason i thought it was a 10 team NTC, but puckpedia has a 10 team trade list. That is significantly worse and extremely annoying

My problem with Dougie is that right now his shot is not a threat. Its been his best asset. I'm gonna say its due to his injury/surgery and its gonna get better as the season goes on. But when he is not producing offense, his defensive liabilities make you more angry than usually.

I don't agree. Sure it'd be nice if his shot was going but his biggest problem is 100% his defense. His defense is dramatically worse than it's ever been. If he was his usual self defensively he wouldn't be a big problem right now. He's never been one of the worst defensive players in the league like he's been so far.

Not a bad period, but just couldn’t generate anything. Especially in the second half of the period.

Rough period. Need to be better in the 2nd.
Our start was quite good. Tampa found their game after their power play. That was when things turned and there were also a lot of confusing broken plays in center ice that led to their goal. They took over center ice and kept getting it back deep on us. Kucherov had that feed to Hagel about a shift before Paul’s goal.

We need to start getting the puck deep on them again, as Sal said. More of a lunch pail game, let’s not try to be so fancy.
