Go 7-2 in the last nine and there’s a chance. I think the path is Detroit and Washington missing. Caps’ schedule is brutal and could see them going 4-7. Wings have some very losable games. Flyers schedule is just so soft. I know we have a head-to-head against them but I just don’t see us surpassing them.

The real part that sunk the season is the complete inability to get going post all star break when they were the healthiest they've been all year. They were in a playoff position after the stadium game and had most of their guys, and then just completely wilted. I thought they had played better than their record on most nights up to that point.

The thing with the final 2-3 weeks of the season is bubble teams tend to pick up more point as the top teams wind down in prep for the playoffs and bad team’s depth are gutted post trade deadline. In the last week the bubble has moved from 92 points get in pace to 94 points.

They have to win out and pray. Flyers are probably more catch able because of the head to head remaining. But they need a 2006 type run to get in.

Nope. Its Flyers since Devils have a gm to play with them. Caps have two gms in hand on us and are finally playing good hockey this season. They will be safely in.

Devils only realistic chance is getting within 4 pts of Flyers and beat them in regulation. Then anything can happen in the final gm for each team. But, we need Det to flounder
