He was practicing with them and doing line rushes with them instead of the extra guys like normal for the upcoming game. Nothing confirmed but I just assumed that he would be activated before tonight’s game.

if Mercer can grow just a bit more that's a fairly deep team. Zetterlund is a legit bottom six NHL player even if Foote and Holtz are still fringe. Marino can't get healthy fast enough.

if Mercer can grow just a bit more that's a fairly deep team. Zetterlund is a legit bottom six NHL player even if Foote and Holtz are still fringe. Marino can't get healthy fast enough.

Add a middle six forward and a depth defender at the deadline and this team is solid and very deep going into the playoffs.

Mercer has been playing some fantastic hockey lately. I really like him being brought back up to play with Hughes. It’s strange to say and with an extremely limited sample size but Hughes hasn’t been quite as dominant (by his lofty measures of course) without being flanked by Haula. Tatar was OK with Hughes but I think Mercer is a better fit to keep up with Jack’s speed. I like this Rango-Boqvist-Tatar line they’re going to try.
