Fair enough. I don't mind their game tonight. Just seems like it's not their game.

They've proven me wrong before, so let's see what happens in the 3rd.

I don't think NJ has been awful tonight either. Jumpy on the offensive puck handling but they have had chances. Not stellar game though, but definitely a winnable one, if you put aside the zebra shit.

If you put together a supercut of all the goals called back for interference this year, that would be the least amount of interference that results in a no goal. The interference happens 3 seconds before the goal is scored and it is extremely minor contact, Kuemper had plenty of time to reset. But nope, no goal.
I think they ruled Noesen interfered with Kuemper’s stick, but Kuemper intentionally out his stick between Noesen’s legs.

People are so quick to blame Haula, Cotter, Dougie. I am too.

But Allen has been as bad for as long as them. Haula and Cotter haven’t given us anything since November. Neither has Allen.
I struggle to blame Allen tonight. The goal wasn’t really his fault and he’s stopped 11 of 12. NJ should have at least one goal if not more

We desperately need a bottom 6 upgrade . We will get crushed in the playoffs if we go in with this exact same bottom 6 as we have currently

He was so impaired he had time to reset his stance even.

And also time to slash Noesen in the legs. His stick isn't caught, he's actively going after Noesen for his perceived infringement on his crease.

That's fine, goalies do it all the time, including me when I played. But don't complain if you get scored on while you're giving the guy in front the chop. It's your decision to initiate that contact.

That’s concerning but then again we played against some very stingy defensive teams and and goalies that had the game of their lives.

That doesn't track. We played the Avs, Leafs, Kings, Hawks, Blues, Jackets, Pens, Rangers, Canes x2, Ducks. In terms of 5v5 xGA that's the 11th best, 16th, 1st, 23rd, 13th, 27th, 28th, 30th, 10th, 32nd. For an 11 game stretch that competition is soft as shit. This team simply is not good enough offensively and it's nothing we didn't know already. They're entirely dependent on the stars with bottom barrel depth. This was something I called before the season even started as a huge problem and it's turned out to be an even bigger problem than I imagined it'd be. I've been saying the team has one problem. The issue is that one problem is a MASSIVE problem and will hold them back. With even like average depth scoring I think this is the best team in the league. Unfortunately they're nowhere even near average.
