He's had some good looks recently. It sucks that he has this bad streak but I still like him.

He's a good player.

It's hurting Mercer bad. You look at Mercer's game log and he only gets points away from Haula

This is the real issue with the bottom 6. The 4th line has played great outside of just not even getting slight goal support from them. Mercer’s a good 3rd liner. Cotter is what he is and that’s a very mediocre 4th liner. We’ve just had to play him above his weight class but come TDL you’d have to think we upgrade in the top 9 and push him down. Haula is a guy that is better and should be playing better than he has. He can and should be a solid 3C but the production just hasn’t been there.

Our top two lines are dominating . Our bottom 6 … not so much . The Staal line was pushing us around. There are a few teams with much better bottom 6 that will cave us in come playoffs. Bolts / Caps / Canes /

He's about to turn 34 years old in March. Sometimes time catches up with you out of nowhere.
