Somehow he missed our goalie skating off the ice and getting on the bench, and obviously an empty net, never mind the ref with his arm raised, but he saw 6 Devils on the ice.

Nah I watched the no show tonight the no show in the third last game no show in the first game good game 2 and 3 though. The bratt boys are out tonight

I definitely see the Caps punting out the Canes easily unless Freddie comes back and the Caps' goalie doesn't...then it might be a series. Montreal might be a bit harder, especially since they'd have to drain themselves to come back so I'm definitely rooting for a quick kill by the Caps atm.

I don't get the "unlikeable" thing personally. Is this team frustrating as hell at times? Absolutely. But if you can't find any enjoyment in seeing Nico score 35 goals or Bratt flirt with 90 points, or seeing a kid like Nemo struggle to then find success in the playoffs, then that sounds more like a "you" problem.

I guess some of you are referring to teams that were good/playoff teams when talking about unlikeable. 2013-2014 is the one for me. Marty's husk getting wins in net vs. Cory busting his ass and getting no goal support. Michael Ryder becoming a ghost in the second half. Ryane Clowe predictably getting hurt immediately. Damien Brunner. Losing every single shootout seemingly. I'm sure I could go on.

Do they let all UFA's walk? Lazar, Dowling, Bastian, Tatar, Foote?
Can't afford Allen.
Buyout Palat? MacDermot?

I'm not sure what the offers are on Mercer, but I'd definitely listen.

Cotter is a JAG. He can stay in 4th line role or he can go. I’m indifferent. Same with Noesen.

No Jack and the defense was massacred and still Markstrom was largely responsible for 2 of our 4 losses. Great stuff.

I will say this the defensemen who stepped in overall did an admirable job. This loss is on the forward group and there was only one guy injured there (and the other top 3 players up front did their job).

I cant really even blame some of these forwards because they shouldn't even be in this position.

Like what more can you reasonably expect from someone like Dowling in this situation?

Personally I found the depressing rosters of the late Lou era when you knew the team wasn't going anywhere and the future looked bleak way less fun to watch than one with some really damn good players just entering their primes that (with the right management) should be contenders for years.

Having a 99 point center and half the defense would’ve helped a little bit.

This loss is 100% on the goaltender. The forwards scored 4 goals and gave Marky a 3-0 lead. I don't care about what he did after pissing away a 3 goal lead. He f***ed the team tonight.

With a full lineup, you guys would’ve taken this to 7, if not a win.

Hughes’ changes your whole offense; I’m hoping he’s healthy next year. He zone exits, and penetrates to the slot. He’s worked on his shot—so dangerous.
