I usually don't make a big deal out of things like this, but f*** Dougie so much for smiling in that handshake line.

To Kochetkov? REALLY? Have they ever even met before that encounter tonight? He never played with him in Carolina.

I guess he's happy that he doesn't have to play while the meds for his prostate are kicking in.

The damage this team has done to my mental health this year is astounding.

The fact that I feel free and relieved a season of my favourite hockey team is over is so telling.

I love this team/organization, but will say this. The 2024-2025 New Jersey Devils was probably the most unlikeable Devils team since the turn of the millennium, and it's not particularly close. Blown leads, injuries, absolutely floated all the way to the end of the season. Just a horrible season, and I was feeling better after last season, which is also telling.

Time to heal lmao.

Honestly honorable effort by these guys but there are a lot of changes needed to be made. We were right there for most of the series.

Love how great Markstrom played when the game was tied but he was the only reason we blew that three goal lead. I can’t give him props because of that.

The refs can also f*** off.
The "too many men" whistle is some amateur level stuff.

Blowing a 3-0 lead in an elimination game and going 0-15 on the PP should be on the coach. Yeah 2/3 of the team can bounce including Markstrom but I doubt that even Lindy would have let this debacle happen.

At least I can book my Colorado Springs trip for next Tuesday now to go watch the Red Bulls in the US Open Cup tournament just to see them get knocked out in yet another different state 🙃

Hockey is hilarious though isn’t it? The prevailing wisdom was that our path to success in this series would be an edge in special teams and goaltending because Carolina was the clearly superior team at even strength. It wound up being the exact f***ing opposite.

I am legit surprised with the state of the roster, how they played overall 5v5.

Im not that surprised by our PP. Carolina was the top PK unit in the league and with no Hughes brothers and a washed Dougie.

PK im disappointed, but then again with how injured the Dmen are I guess it shouldn't be that surprising.

I feel the same way.

Not as unlikable as the last couple of Lou teams though, but just a complete drain on my mental health as well. Not even kidding.

I'm not saying they're the reason for my mental health taking a hit, but they haven't helped.

This season being over is like taking a loved one off life support. Now I'll be stress free until late June/early July when it looks like some of the list of sad sack characters are staying and we're getting a Markstrom/Daws tandem, which smells like it could bomb the season like the bullshit we saw in 21-22 with Gillies/Daws and the Vitek/Schmid platoon of 24-25.

They did what they could. It just wasn’t meant to be. They played well all things considered after the first game. Yeah it would have been nice to win this one but I’m skeptical they would have won the next two. Hopefully they can figure out a few things in the offseason. I’ll be rooting for maximum pain and misery for the remaining teams that with any luck spills over into next year. I still think if Jack and Luke are healthy NJ wins this series.

I would say the only more unlikeable team was the 2010 Devils, and I mean the second half of 2009-10 and the first half of 2010-11 as one entity. But at least that team had won more before than this group has and Lou did fire two coaches and trade the captain.

We haven't really had anyone pay for the last two seasons as of yet. Can we resume the talk about at least punting Rogalski now?

I thought Lindy caught a lot of flack because our goal tending sucked. Likewise I can't blame tonight on Keefe.
