Canes fans thought the Canes needed to injure Markstrom to make up for Andersen being out, not realizing Markstrom is a f***ing headcase that can be as awful as Vitek.

Whether it’s a bad goal or something he has no chance on, even if it’s a BS goal that should come back for goalie interference, he’s given himself and the team no more margin for error with all the junk that got past him on the first 3 goals.

You need to own your share of responsibility for Markstrom’s poor performance.

Devils allowed 3 goals in the 2nd period before Casey even got a shift. He finally gets a shift, makes a nice play that eventually leads to a goal, and then doesn't get another shift the rest of the period.

I can't even believe that this team couldn't keep a 3 goal lead. Honestly feels surreal and is quite the representation of our whole season.

Part of me would be pissed if they lost, but the other part of me would be so f***ing relieved. This team has brought so many of us down. Man, what a horrible season.

It's a representation of this core. Mentally weak beyond belief.

Canes are a corrupt team. So much diving, hits high and behind the play. Get away with it. Everyone knows they cheat - and they get rewarded. The officiating in this league is awful and they do nothing about it. It ruins the sport. Meier should’ve had at least a two minute for the Anderson hit - yes Svech guided him in but he was expended to make an effort. But tonight - this is egregious. Missed calls, phantom penalties that don’t exist, giving 2 man advantage.

That said , I’m so tired of having garbage goaltenders. Then our garbage goes elsewhere and plays well…
