I really do wonder though if the Devils go 11-7 and give Casey a game.

It feels like the Devils were sending Hischier and Mercer’s line out there every other shift the last couple games. They’re barely using the fourth line as it is.

I’m not sure if he’ll end up being a difference maker, but Casey has shown the ability to create offense from the blue line. For a team starved of offense (and not getting any from the bottom two lines), it feels like a worthy risk.

They barely trust Cholowski to play, and Casey is BEHIND him in the depth chart.
So what you take out a roster spot at forward to give casey 4 minutes of ice time and Cholowski 4 minutes of ice time?

there really isn't an excuse if this series doesnt come back home for 6. i dont know why its so hard for them string together back to back games where they compete for 60mins (game 3) but i will be really disappointed if they no show (3rd period last game) tonight.

Is this confirmed? Given the performance of our PP, Casey should 100% be in there tonight. Give him some minutes on the fourth line and see if he can generate offense. It’s not as if we are getting any production there anyway.

The no show Sunday was the first period…they just got obliterated by fatigue/Carolina going more defensive to protect the kid in the third.
