He did, looked way worse than it ended up appearing. Happened late in the second, left for the rest of the period but came back for the whole third period.

Devils getting hooked, hit to the face, over and over but refs have decided they can’t give the Devils a PP since they got the last one. Garbage.

this was actually crazy - i understand “letting them play” but so many blatant calls were ignored

i can think of 3 just off the top of my head - cotter getting hooked/held entering the zone, nico getting grabbed by cooley exiting the zone and mercer getting blatantly tripped in front of the crease when he would have been the first one to the puck in the corner. all were clearly a choice by the ref because they were part of the play and completely obvious

I was very impressed with how many Devils fans were there tonight. I'm gonna' guess 1 in 6 people were in Devils jerseys.

And i'd expect a strong showing tomorrow too as many people i met said they are travelings to Vegas tomorrow as well.

It hasn't been a big sample but it looks like the Rantannen trade hasn't gotten off to a good start and their issues in net have hit...Columbus is rolling right now but still decent amount of games left for that to reverse the other way...If NJ could get on a decent roll here it would do wonders for us ....Fingers crossed

I didn’t think he played well. To me it looked like his teammates just covered for him better than previous games.

The broadcast was pumping him up like they got a narrative arc to push from the team and I didn’t buy it. He wasn’t horrible relative to his previous games, but not good either. That one glaring turnover he had in the o-zone could have easily ended up in the net.
